Endings are simply saying, “good-bye.”  In the United States, we use many different kinds of endings.  Here are some different endings you can use instead of saying, “Good-bye.”

Common American English Endings

See you. See you ____.  ( tomorrow, tonight, later )
See you next ___.  ( week, month, year.) Later.
Take it easy. Bye!
Take care. Bye-Bye. (usually used by children)

Culture Note #1  Many times Americans will use, “Have a good day!” as an ending.  This is very American.  You will not here it so much in other English speaking countries.  Also, Americans do not usually repeat the same ending

Culture Note #2  Sometimes you should give a reason why you are leaving.
