maxi	+	mize	=	maximize	to make something the most or the largest as possible	We need to maximize our time to get our project done.  No fooling around!
maxi	+	mum	=	maximum	the most or largest amount allowed	The maximum score is 100%.	What does MAXI mean? MAXI = MOST, VERY LARGE
mini	+	mum	=	minimum	the smallest amount allowed	The minimum score is 0%.
mini	+	skirt	=	miniskirt	a very small skirt or dress	Miniskirts were the "in" thing during the 1970's.	What does MINI mean? MINI = SMALL or SMALLEST
