un + kind = unkind not kind....mean Shin said an unkind word.  He said she was ugly.
bio + logy = biology the study of life The students studied frogs in biology class.  
bio + graphy = biography a book about a person's life Anne Frank is a famous biography.  It was the story of Anne Frank's life.
pre + vent = prevent to keep or stop from doing something before it happens Wash your hands to prevent colds.  
pre + pare = prepare to make ready before I will prepare myself for the test.  I will study, study and study!
auto + mobile = automobile a car or truck that has a motor that runs by itself. The coolest automobile is the Ferrari!  
auto + matic = automatic acting by itself The bell is automatic.  It rings by itself.
bi + cycle = bicycle a vehicle with two wheels. It is powered by feet. My bicycle has two flat tires!  
bi + lingual = bilingual can speak and understand two languages Jorge is bilingual.  He can speak two languages!
